• The interface features three buttons and five LED status icons, informing the user what needs to be done to keep the printer up and running. 

Deployment and Application Flexibility 

• Backwards compatibility with almost all existing printers. The printer support EPL and ZPL printer languages, and the Virtual Devices application lets it use languages associated with other brands. Also, the ZD420 allows you to use the same applications and label formats as you’re presently using. 
• Its multiple connectivity options let you connect your printer to wired and wireless networks or directly to a PC. The printer comes with a USB and USB host, and you can also opt for Ethernet or serial and a dual wireless radio, allowing you to print from any iOS device. You can also tap a compatible mobile device to your printer and print using the Print Touch Tag (NFC).  
• The removable high-capacity battery that comes as an option allows you to power your printer all day long. Easily transport your printer on a cart for on-the-spot printing, increasing productivity. 
• The ZD420’s movable media sensor allows you to use media from any manufacturer and brand. 

Easy to Manage 

• Thanks to the Zebra Link-OS system, you can manage and troubleshoot your networked printers from one console from a distance. Also, with the optional Printer Profile Manager Enterprise, manage and see the status of all your printers around the world. 
• Easily integrate your networked printer with your AirWatch or SOTI MobiControl device management system using our MDM connectors. 
• The USB host port makes setting up new printer configurations easy and allows you to connect to any external device.

• The ZD420t printer accepts the high capacity 300m ribbon, which costs less per meter than the standard 74m ribbon. You’ll also reduce ribbon changes by 75%, thus diminishing workflow interruptions. 
• The ZD420 for healthcare facilities is easy to clean and disinfect. This printer has a UV-resistant plastic interface with sealed buttons. It has a healthcare-compliant power supply and the option of a locking media cabinet to block unauthorized access to valuable media. 
• With the optional power supply accessory, the power supply and all but one power cord are hidden. It results in a cleaner look and a safer environment for people moving around the device.
